The world's most advanced small engines.

Cubewano designs, develops, tests and manufactures small, high quality internal combustion engines. The range of rotary engines provides high power to weight ratio. All engines are designed to be light, quiet with very low vibration, running on multiple fuels including Heavy Fuel (JP8).
Our engines are fly-by-wire, controlled by the Vehicle Management System (VMS) with bi-directional flow of data giving real time telemetry from the engine including features such as RPM requests and temperature etc. In order that we can test the engines without a VMS, we have developed and supply software which enables the engines to be controlled by a remote PC or laptop.
For the rigorous testing, we have developed our own ETC (Engine Test Centre) which measures torque, RPM and attributes, such as temperature, independently of the ECU - this is essentially Cubewano's own Dyno controlled software which can also be used on a propeller reaction rig.
All engines have been optimised to run with different cooling methods. The air-cooled engines are primarily intended to meet the demanding requirements of the fixed wing UAV (Unmanned Air Vehicle) market whilst the water-cooled units are for VTOL UAV's and the portable power generation field.
UAV manufacturers demand the highest quality small power units available today including reliability, time between service intervals and multi fuel capabilities (heavy fuel, gasoline and others). Cubewano strives to meet these requirements by researching and employing the latest materials and technologies available. Our patent portfolio demonstrates our dedication to moving the technological boundaries forward.
All of our engines are fuel injected with electronic engine management to maximise power, fuel efficiency, reliability and emissions requirements. To optimise power-to-weight ratio, our current engines are of the Wankel rotary type with enclosed recirculating oil systems. All engines are developed with field requirements in mind and are ultimately made-to-order.
Cubewano has developed, manufactured and tested engines with power ranging from 3HP to 16HP in both the air and liquid cooled variety.
