Cubewano engines are designed from the ground up to be true multi-fuel engines; they start and efficiently run on Kerosene (JET-A1, JP8, F34 etc) and gasoline based fuels including AVGAS and 110LL. As fuel switching is performed electronically via the ECU, there is no mechanical difference for different fuels. Engines are of the Wankel rotary type which has almost no vibration designed to be very low weight. These standard features create idyllic power units for small aircraft APU's.

Current engines range from 3hp to 12hp, allowing reliable power generation up to 10kw.  All engine types are available in liquid-cooled form, producing a comparable amount of heat for cabin and fuel heating purposes whilst main engines are off. Full electronic control ensures real time control and monitoring of the APU status.
